Set in a delightful garden, this is one of the loveliest churches in Moscow, characteristic of the Naryshkin Baroque style. Built in 1682 by the weavers' guild, the Church of St. Nicholas of the Weavers beguiles you with its exuberant gilded domes highlighted by kokoshniki, and its green and red polychrome decor offset by tiles. Note the superb tent-style bell tower. The interior boasts some fine 17C and 18C icons.
