Description

This street has preserved a bit of the atmosphere that once reigned throughout the neighbourhood in the 19C when the Muscovite nobility and bourgeoisie moved here. While office buildings and department stores have taken over other areas, the mansions here still boast their lovely part-Empire part-neo-Classical façades decorated with caryatids and stucco motifs. Be sure to take in the finest building on the street, the Soymonov House at n° 18.
