Useful information

Description

Vladimir Mayakovsky lived his last years and committed suicide in 1930 in this kommounalka (communal apartment). The museum devoted to him was laid out in 1994 by Taras Poliakov. It closed in 2013 and since then its reopening is regularly announced. While little has filtered as to the makeup of the future museum, it is expected to focus on an era when revolution and avant-garde movements progressed together.
