Description

The fertility of the Khorat Plateau, which is irrigated by the Mekong and the Mun and Shi rivers, has encouraged human habitation in the area since prehistoric times. The Ban Prasat site brings to light the vestiges of occupation here over the past 3 000 years. A small museum displays finds from archaeological digs via an exhibition of pottery and various tools uncovered on the site.
