Located south of Myrtle Beach, on the Grand Strand, Myrtle Beach State Park boasts unspoilt beaches, without hotels as a backdrop. Indeed, this quiet state park (127ha) was created in the 1930s by the Civil Environmental Protection Corps to preserve a 1.6km-long beach and one of the last maritime forests of this part of the South Carolina coast.
