Description

This fortress overlooking the Aveyron Valley is a masterpiece of 13C military architecture. Of the three original surrounding walls, a sizeable fortified complex flanked with large round towers still remains. The keep is the most imposing tower and commands fantastic views of the fortress, the tapering village, the picturesque Aveyron Valley and the church, standing between the castle and the river, in the heart of the old village.
