Description

St Paul's Basilica, built between the 12C-16C on the site of the tomb of Paul of Narbonne (3C), the city's first bishop, is depicted by Romanesque and Gothic sections, among the oldest of Narbonne. It has a remarkably elevated chancel (large arcades, double triforium, high windows) and an early Christian crypt that was once part of a 3C-4C necropolis, in which six sarcophagi are kept.
