Description

Established in 1900, the rare Yale Collection of Musical Instruments assembles more than 1,000 decorative musical instruments documenting Western European music traditions from 1550 to 1900. On display are violins by Jakob Stainer (1661) and Stradivari (1736), together with an outstanding array of keyboard instruments dating back to 1569.
