Useful information

Description

Sungur Bey Mosque was built by Ilkhanid Mongols, the descendants of Genghis Khan, during their occupation of the region in the early 14C. The rose window and the ornamented porch are Gothic. The very plain interior is adorned with red carpets and a mihrab, which echoes the style of the portal.
