Description
Ogunquit reportedly means "The beautiful place by the sea" in the Abenaki language. The artists who discovered this fishing harbour in the late 19C apparently agreed, prompting many to set up home near its rocks. Today local artists exhibit their work in the village's numerous art galleries.
