Description

Prideaux Place is a granite house dating from 1592. It is set in gardens and parkland that were landscaped in the 18C and contain a Classical temple, obelisk, grotto and stone arbour housing Roman urns. Inside there are also some fine portraits painted by John Opie (1761-1807), who spent his childhood at the property.
