Description

She is tenderly referred to here as "a' Santuzza", the little Saint... and her relics, preserved in Palagonia are taken to this hermitage every year in a procession. In a cave, the hermitage dates Byzantine era (7C.) and contains an attractive fresco (sadly very much damaged) in which toucan make out the Virgin and an angel around Jesus Christ.
