Useful information

Description

This museum occupies the lounge, library, workshop and bedroom where Eugène Delacroix lived from 1858-63. The artist abandoned his workshop on rue Notre-Dame-de-Lorette to be closer to the St-Sulpice church, where he had been commissioned to decorate a chapel in 1847. The exhibitions, which are updated every year, display works by Delacroix and his friends. The workshop and small garden are a haven of peace and quiet.
