Useful information

Description

The artist Victor Vasarely was born in Pécs in 1908 and created most of his life's work in France. Hungary is paying tribute to him in this museum, opened in 1976. Vasarely's type of painting, known as op art (optical art) long after his first works appeared, played with geometrical shapes and optical illusions, using all kinds of support, such as canvas, tapestry, monumental mosaics, metal and glass.
