Description

The Elizabethan poet Philip Sidney (1554-86) lived in this manor (1346), which was subsequently enlarged in the Tudor, James I and neo-Gothic styles. The interior is a similar mix of styles. The charming Toy Museum, occupying the manor's outbuildings, displays a collection of 19C dolls, rocking horses and puppets. Very pleasant gardens.
