Useful information

Description

This rocky promontory of bluffs is home to a substantial colony of elephant seals and the only place along the coast you can observe them, other than the islands. From November through March, the females come ashore to give birth to single pups and join "harems" dominated by massive alpha bulls. From April through August, the baby elephant seals return to the shore to molt.
