The works here come from the monumental buildings around the Piazza dei Miracoli. They recall the monuments (models) and, of course, the furniture and the sculptures which decorate them. Of particular interest are artists such as Bonanno Pisano (who designed the famous San Ranieri door), Nicola and Giovanni Pisano (busts in the loggia of the baptistry), Tino di Camaino and Nino Pisano, both of whom sculpted tombs in the buildings. Finally, the treasury includes the superb Virgin sculpted in ivory by Giovanni Pisano.
