The Empress of Ireland Museum recalls the shipwreck of the "Titanic of the St. Lawrence", which claimed 1,012 lives on May 29, 1914. The adjacent lighthouse (1909), the second highest in Canada, commands a fine view of the seaboard. Then visit the keeper's house, foghorn shed, 1914 shed and the Onondaga, an impressive submarine.
