closed for conservation reasons since 1998; this site is sometimes open to visitors, in particular on Heritage Days (Sep) and National Archaeology Days (Jun), by guided tour only - visit of hypogeum by prior arrangement with the Sainte-Croix museum
This is one of the strangest monuments of the Middle Ages: an underground chapel built in the 7C and 8C in the middle of an Ancient necropolis. The entrance to the hypogeum is protected by a Gallo-Roman chapel that was built in 1908. Closed for conservation work since 1998, the site is sometimes open, notably for Journées du Patrimoine, solely for guided tours.
