Description

This Baroque building, originally built in 1685 as an orangery, is one of the oldest monuments in the city and one of the few structures still remaining from Potsdam Palace. Today it houses Potsdam's Film Museum dedicated to the famous Babelsberg studios situated on the other bank of the Havel, where movies such as Die Nibelungen by Fritz Lang (1924) The Pianist by Roman Polanski (2002) and, more recently, Inglorious Basterds by Quentin Tarantino (2009) were filmed.
