Description

In 1640, Voivode warlord Matei Basarab built a printing press on the site of a 14C wooden church; the press produced works in Romanian such as the Pravila de la Govora (the earliest Wallachian legal code). The church, open to the public today, was built in 1711 by Constantin Brâncoveanu.
