Description

The upper stretch of the Río Sarapiquí (85km) runs alongside a lush tropical landscape. It is punctuated with rapids, making it popular with rafters and kayakers. The lower part, which is slower moving, is better suited to the more sedate delights of ecotourism and birdwatching.
