The Michelin Guide's review
Built from 1908 to 1912, this majestic parliament house (the largest in Canada) was constructed in the shape of a cross topped by a dome. It occupies a fine site overlooking French-style gardens and Wascana Lake. The interior and exterior walls are adorned with 34 different sorts of marble, imported from all over the world and Tyndall stone (from Manitoba). The Chamber of Deputies, library, rotunda and several portrait galleries are open to the public.
