Useful information

Description

The house was founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot, but his son developed it and the latter's widow, (née Ponsardin) founded the current company. This champagne house has 265ha of vineyards and exports three-quarters of its production. Its cellars are laid out in Gallo-Roman chalk mines. Everything about champagne is explained during a tour here, from harvesting to bottling.
