Useful information

Description

Founded in 1927 by Giuseppe Primoli, a descendent of Lucien Bonaparte, the Napoleonic Museum is one of the many reminders of the imperial family's presence in Rome. It is home to a collection of portraits of the Emperor and members of his family, as well as objects, furniture and personal items which belonged to them. In Room VI, dedicated to Pauline, the sofa on display is similar to the one on which the Emperor's sister posed for Canova.
