Description

The concrete Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Haut was built in 1955 by Le Corbusier. The chapel is impressive for the purity of its form, curved lines and the contrast between the raw concrete roof and whitewashed walls. Inside, one is struck by the ethereal quality of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed building. The gentle interplay of light and shadow in the dimly lit interior feels soothing and spiritual.
