Description

With its Brick Gothic triple-naved church, this former Cistercian convent, founded in 1270 by Danish Queen Margarethe, offers an unusually harmonious ensemble. In addition to medieval religious art - perhaps best illustrated by the Altarpiece of the Three Kings (late 15C) - the museum also shows the work of master craftsmen in a collection of ceramics and local artists. One section displays works of art considered "degenerate" by the Nazi regime.
