Useful information

Description

Built in 1810 for Jean-Baptiste Mâsse, a blacksmith, innkeeper and merchant, this stone house serves as an interpretation centre on the Patriots' Rebellion of 1837-38. Displays and a slide show explain the background of the uprising and highlight the events that led the Patriots in their long fight for freedom and democracy. The battles of Saint-Denis, Saint-Charles and Saint-Eustache are described.
