Useful information

Description

Filled with wonder by the egg that Alexander III gave her in 1885, a treasure in gold, enamel and precious stones, Maria Feodorovna asked for a new egg from her royal spouse every year. The jeweller Carl Fabergé (1846-1920) created this gem, and nine of his works are now on display in the Shuvalov Palace, which was restored in 2014. Moreover, the collection includes several hundred objects created by the House of Fabergé and other Russian goldsmiths.
