Description

The museum covers 20 centuries from the Romans to modern abstract painting. Among its collections are fragments of a 14C alabaster sarcophagus and a Llanto por Cristo Muerto (Bewailing of Christ) by Luis Morales. Upstairs are 18C wooden chairs with ornate backs. Note V Gonzalez Arenal's monumental Entombment (late 19C), and Luis de Horna's Bullfight in Blue showing stylistic links to Picasso's Guernica.
