Useful information

Description

Completed in 1915 (Richard Kletting) at a cost of $2.74 million, this fine example of Renaissance Revival-style architecture - with its Corinthian columns and copper dome - was patterned after the US Capitol in Washington DC. The interior of the dome, 50m above the foyer, is adorned with murals depicting seagulls and historical events.
