Description

The five-storey Solar do Ferrão, one of the city's finest houses (17C), is home to several collections (religious art, ethnology, crafts), displayed in attractive modern settings. On the ground-floor is a substantial collection of musical instruments from all over the world; masterpieces of African art on the 1st floor (Masella collection) and sacred art on the 2nd floor (Abelardo Rodrigues collection). A collection of Nordeste crafts is visible in the second basement.
