The Michelin Guide's review
In the 11C, Alfonso III entrusted the reconstruction of a monastery, of which an isolated church on the terraces remains, to a community of monks expelled from Cordoba; it is one of the rare and the best preserved Mozarab monuments. The outer gallery (1050) is particularly notable for the carvings on its capitals. The church is older (913). Inside, note the Visigothic and Moorish motifs.
