Useful information

Description

As its name indicates, this street was laid out by architect Carlo Rossi, who was particularly prolific in 19C St Petersburg. A symbol of classical perfection, the street is exactly as wide as the buildings on each side are high (22m) and 10 times longer (220m). It is lined by two identical, white colonnaded edifices, of which one (on the left) has been the former Imperial School of Ballet since 1836.
