Useful information

Description

Peter I's Cabin, a humble log structure, was built in a few days after the first stone of the Peter and Paul Fortress was laid. The tsar spent the summer of 1703 here while supervising the construction of the new capital. Catherine II had it covered over by a stone pavilion in order to better preserve it. It Is hard to imagine the giant Peter the Great living in this house that is barely 12m long by 5.5m wide and which only contains two rooms separated by the entrance.
