Description

This is Russia's oldest academy of music, founded in1862 at the initiative of pianist, composer and orchestra conductor Anton Rubinstein. Great Russian musicians such as Piotr Tchaikovsky, Serge Prokofiev, Dmitri Shostakovich and Igor Stravinsky all studied here. The Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory has two concert halls where top Russian and foreign musicians perform.
