Description

On the SP 84 that joins up with the road to Linguaglossa, this chestnut tree between 2 000 and 4 000 years old is Sant'Alfio's main attraction. Its trunk is made up of three distinct shoots and has a 60m circumference. Legend has it that Queen Joan sheltered here one stormy night with her escort of 100 knights.
