Useful information

Description

Belle of Oglethorpe Square, Owens-Thomas House is considered to be one of architect William Jay's finest works. Now administered by the Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences, this house was completed in 1816 when the architect was only 25. The stately structure typifies Jay's English Regency style, with its pleasing symmetry and Doric columned porch. The elegant interior has been meticulously restored.
