Description

The personal project of Paul Allen, one of the founders of Microsoft, this building designed by the architect Frank Gehry (2000) pays tribute to pop culture, with a particular focus on rock music, through a variety of interactive exhibits. The focal point of the museum is a huge, impressive sculpture known as Roots and Branches, which towers up to the ceiling and consists of more than 500 musical instruments. Frequent live acts are presented in the Sky Church concert hall.
