Useful information

Description

Created in 1977, the museum relates the 150-year history of the North African cavalry corps, which held a special position in the French army. It is specifically dedicated to the former Algerian spahis (soldiers of an Ottoman cavalry corps), goumiers (indigenous riders and scouts), méharistes (camel riders) and Saharans who occupied the Senlis garrison for 30 years.
