Useful information

Description

This basilica is home to Seville's most famous statue, La Macarena, one of the depictions of the city's protective Madonna, sculpted in the 17C. It also houses a statue of Christ, Jesús de la Sentencia, which accompanies the Virgin Mary on the Good Friday procession. The museum has some impressive pasos, on which the statues are borne during the Holy Week processions. Don't miss the Camarín for its view of the Madonna and the church.
