From the Primitives to Il Sodoma, a great 16C master of Sienese painting, and taking in Simone Martini, this incredibly extensive collection allows visitors to follow the chronological evolution of Sienese painting from the 13C to the 17C. Above and beyond its stylistic developments, it is characterised by an ever-present gracefulness.
