Description
Since the Middle Ages, Stora gatan is the main street of Sigtuna, a town which was the country's first capital and is still an important religious hub today. Nowadays, the road is lined with brightly-coloured 19C timber houses, shops and picturesque cafés. The local museum situated at no 55 exhibits finds from digs carried out on Viking and medieval sites.
