Description
Known for its traditional school of music and its carpet manufactures, Siroka Laka extends alongside the Sirokolaska stream spanned by pretty stone bridges. Its fortified houses built on stone bases and featuring white, corbelled upper floors and stone-slab roofs, are lined along the road and the steep, narrow, roughly cobbled streets. The beautiful setting of fir-covered mountains enhances the church of Our Lady (Sv. Bogorodica). Built in 1834, it houses paintings by Zahari Zograf and his brother Dimitar.
