Description

Apolonia Street is a shopping high street and one of the old town's three main thoroughfares. It boasts a harmonious group of old wooden houses. The remains of a few columns and sections of walls in a small square bear witness to the ancient history of Sozopol. Along the street, you will also see St George's Church (Sv. Georgi), built on the foundations of a huge palaeochristian basilica, demolished by the Turks in the 15C.
