Description

Situated on a site which bears witness to Hurtières' mining heritage, this discovery trail charts the region's history over seven centuries: interactive mineral displays, an educational park devoted to iron production, tour of the St-Louis exploration gallery and a faithful reconstruction of a classroom closed in 1939. The "mining trail", a waymarked family-friendly path, leaves from the Grand Filon and goes past (closed) mining shafts and many vestiges.
