Description

The Musée de l'Aluminium pulls off the feat of making a fascinating presentation of the history of metallurgy in the Maurienne Valley, where up to six factories manufactured the precious metal in the early 20C. A specific effort has been made to make the presentations accessible to youngsters. Interesting collection of objects, notably the touching jewellery created by soldiers in 1914-1918 out of the aluminium retrieved from enemy shells.
