Useful information

Description

Completed in 1907, this magnificent replica of a Renaissance palace is home to Scandinavia's largest museum of cultural history, founded by Artur Hazelius. The collections, with 1.5 million pieces, cover every aspect of everyday life in Sweden from 1520 to the present day. On the first floor, a permanent exhibition presents in detail the work of the painter and author August Strindberg. The Nordic Museum is a logical complement to Skansen open-air museum.
