Description

The imposing outline of the Duke of Sully's fortress stands on the banks of the slow-moving Loire River. Beneath its magnificent slate rooftops lie a maze of corridors, staircases and rampart walks which link a huge keep and crenelated and machicolated turrets. A visit to this castle will reveal a number of treasures, such as the medieval timber roof of the upper hall of the keep and 17C tapestries depicting Psyche.
