Seungseongyo, a beautiful stone bridge (1707) that is the epitome of simplicity and perfection, marks the start of your visit to the Buddhist Seonamsa Temple, dating back to the 9C and built by the priest Doseon. The main entrance boasts an abundance of ornaments, shrines and stone basins, which paint a uniquely harmonious picture. Since 1985 the temple is the headquarters of the Buddhist taego sect.
